Step’s Foundation, Inc. is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to help lead and expand our volunteer program as we work to support youth and families through mental health and empowerment programs.
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging volunteer experience. You’ll work closely with our teams to recruit, train, and support the volunteers who make our work possible. This is a hybrid position with both remote tasks and in-person responsibilities at events and programs in the Kissimmee area.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit and onboard passionate, mission-aligned volunteers
Create and manage volunteer schedules to support program needs
Foster a sense of community and inclusion among volunteers
Help develop and update volunteer materials and training resources
Track volunteer hours and contributions for reporting and appreciation efforts
Attend and support in-person volunteer-led programs and community outreach events
Contribute to planning and executing volunteer recognition initiatives
Who We're Looking For:
Individuals age 19 or older who are passionate about youth empowerment and community service
Strong communicators who enjoy working with diverse groups of people
Organized, detail-oriented team players who are ready to jump in and help lead
Comfortable using G-Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
Willing to attend in-person events and work with our team onsite when needed
Interested in gaining experience in nonprofit operations, event planning, or human resources
