    Opportunity Overview:

Are you a natural organizer, a people person, and someone who enjoys creating systems that make a difference? Step’s Foundation, Inc. is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to help lead and expand our volunteer program as we work to support youth and families through mental health and empowerment programs.

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and engaging volunteer experience. You’ll work closely with our teams to recruit, train, and support the volunteers who make our work possible. This is a hybrid position with both remote tasks and in-person responsibilities at events and programs in the Kissimmee area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruit and onboard passionate, mission-aligned volunteers

    • Create and manage volunteer schedules to support program needs

    • Foster a sense of community and inclusion among volunteers

    • Help develop and update volunteer materials and training resources

    • Track volunteer hours and contributions for reporting and appreciation efforts

    • Attend and support in-person volunteer-led programs and community outreach events

    • Contribute to planning and executing volunteer recognition initiatives

    Who We're Looking For:

    • Individuals age 19 or older who are passionate about youth empowerment and community service

    • Strong communicators who enjoy working with diverse groups of people

    • Organized, detail-oriented team players who are ready to jump in and help lead

    • Comfortable using G-Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)

    • Willing to attend in-person events and work with our team onsite when needed

    • Interested in gaining experience in nonprofit operations, event planning, or human resources

    What You'll Gain:

    • Real-world experience coordinating volunteer programs in a growing nonprofit

    • Opportunities to expand your leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    • A chance to build relationships and make a lasting impact in the lives of youth and families

    • A flexible, supportive work environment focused on community and growth
