This role supports Regional Biomedical Services by enhancing the blood donor experience through excellent customer service. Blood Donor Ambassadors engage donors, promote regular donations, assist with post-donation care, and express gratitude to ensure every donor feels valued. Duties involve in-person activities at Red Cross facilities.
Qualifications
- Must be age 13-15 with additional adult supervision* or 16+ (must be mature enough to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to adverse donor reactions)
- Ability to display the utmost professionalism and communication skills
- Extremely comfortable working with people from diverse communities and backgrounds
- Ability to understand the technology needed for the position: Donor Check-in, Donor Tablet, Rapid Pass, Donor App, Book Now, and Ability to explain/teach technology to donors and fellow volunteers
- Ability to understand and explain Right Type Mix to donors
- Ability to regularly commit to a schedule, arrive punctually and adapt to a change-driven culture
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
A parent, guardian, sibling, teacher, youth club coordinator, or other adult can provide additional adult supervision
