Founding Board Member – Freedom House Living

Freedom House Living is seeking committed, community-minded individuals to serve as volunteer Founding Board Members and help guide our organization during its early development.

Freedom House Living is a developing housing organization focused on creating safe, stable, and dignified housing opportunities for individuals and veterans experiencing housing instability. Our vision is to begin with our first home and grow over time into a community of homes centered on independence, dignity, stability, and connection.

Founding Board Members will help provide governance, strategic guidance, and professional insight as we establish partnerships, pursue funding opportunities, develop our housing model, and prepare for future growth.

We welcome individuals with experience or knowledge in affordable or supportive housing, nonprofit leadership, community development, finance or accounting, fundraising and grants, real estate development, legal or compliance matters, veteran services, social services, or homelessness and housing-stability programs.

Prior board experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for individuals who believe in the mission and are willing to contribute their knowledge, judgment, and time as Freedom House Living grows.

This is a volunteer board-service opportunity and is not a paid employment position.
