The Role
This is the leader responsible for owning the full marketing ecosystem.
From brand → campaigns → audience growth → engagement → data → conversion — you own it.
You are not just running campaigns.
You are building a growth engine that connects mission, audience, and impact.
This role operates at a strategic, cross-functional level, ensuring marketing is fully aligned with revenue, programs, and platform adoption.
What You’ll Own
Marketing Strategy & Growth Alignment
- Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy
- Align marketing with:
- Organizational mission
- Growth and engagement goals
- Revenue and fundraising strategy
- Define target audiences and growth priorities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Define and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity
- Ensure messaging reflects:
- Mission impact
- Accessibility and inclusivity
- Innovation across all divisions
- Establish brand standards across all channels
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Lead integrated campaigns, including:
- Program awareness
- Platform adoption
- Donor and fundraising campaigns
- Volunteer recruitment
- Ensure campaigns are strategic, data-driven, and performance-focused
Audience Growth & Funnel Development
- Build and optimize growth funnels across:
- Social platforms
- Website and platform
- Email and outreach channels
- Align marketing with:
- Donor pipelines
- Volunteer pipelines
- Improve conversion and retention
Digital Marketing & Channel Leadership
- Oversee all digital channels:
- Social media
- Website
- Email campaigns
- SEO strategy
- Optimize reach, engagement, and performance
Content Strategy & Storytelling
- Define content strategy across platforms
- Ensure storytelling reflects:
- Impact
- Community
- Growth
- Partner with creative teams for execution
Community & Engagement Strategy
- Drive strategies to:
- Build community participation
- Increase engagement and retention
- Strengthen relationships with audiences
Donor & Stakeholder Alignment
- Partner with donor relations and revenue teams
- Align messaging with fundraising and development strategy
- Strengthen donor engagement through storytelling
Marketing Analytics & Performance
- Define and track KPIs:
- Audience growth
- Engagement
- Conversion
- Campaign performance
- Use data to optimize strategies and decisions
CRM & Marketing Technology Alignment
- Partner with Salesforce and Rev Ops teams
- Ensure marketing data supports:
- Segmentation
- Targeting
- Pipeline development
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead marketing team members across functions
- Define workflows, roles, and expectations
- Build a culture of creativity, accountability, and performance
Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment
- Partner with:
- Chief Strategy Officer
- Creative
- Salesforce
- Revenue Operations
- Programs & Product teams
- Ensure marketing is fully integrated into the organization

Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, growth strategy, or related roles
- Experience leading multi-channel marketing initiatives
- Strong understanding of:
- Digital marketing
- Brand strategy
- Audience growth and engagement
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Experience in remote teams
- Experience with marketing analytics and performance tracking
Commitment
- 12–20+ hours per week
- Senior leadership engagement
- Participation in strategic planning and cross-functional meetings
- Fully remote
