Board Member: Health-tech & Social Advocacy

Salix Compass is a mission-driven nonprofit organization (fiscally sponsored by Evergreen Social Impact) dedicated to breaking down the financial barriers that prevent patients from accessing life-saving medications. We call ourselves the "Operating System for Health Equity," utilizing technology and specialized advocacy to automate the navigation of complex Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs).

We are currently scaling our operations from a successful pilot phase in Washington to a broader regional and national model. We are seeking visionary, hands-on leaders to join our Foundational Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Governance: Provide oversight as we transition from pilot to scale.
• Technical Advisory: Advise on the development of the Weaver Crest hub, our proprietary HIPAA-compliant advocacy platform.
• Ambassadorship: Act as a key advocate for Salix Compass within health systems, FQHCs, and philanthropic circles.
• Sustainability: Participate in "Give or Get" fundraising efforts to ensure long-term mission success.

Ideal Candidates: We are specifically looking for "Architects" in the following fields:

• Healthcare Executives (Hospital systems, FQHCs)
• Health-Tech & SaaS Leaders (HIPAA compliance, automation)
• Legal & Nonprofit Governance Experts
• Philanthropic Strategists

Commitment:

• Three-year initial term.
• Quarterly virtual/hybrid board meetings.
• Participation in one standing committee (Finance, Technology, or Development).
