Champion of the Year is an annual fundraising competition organized by our staff, Event Committee, and Advisory Board, featuring a select group of individuals, professionals, and community leaders. These philanthropic trailblazers compete to raise the most funds by reaching out to their community, raising funds, and spreading awareness for Best Buddies to earn the ultimate title of Champion of the Year.
Following the fundraising campaign, Best Buddies will recognize the candidate who has raised the largest amount in donations at the annual Champion of the Year Gala. By definition, that candidate will have surpassed all rivals in the competition; and therefore, becomes a champion. He or she will aptly receive the title of Champion of the Year!
This year, our Champion of the Year Gala will be from 6:30-11pm on October 24 at the Harold Washington Library. Our theme is Lights, Camera, Inclusion!

Please enter from the back side on Plymouth Ct. These are not the main entrance doors, but will be used for our event. There is public transporation nearby including the Harold Washington Library stop and the best parking options are on SpotHero.
