Position Summary

The IT Help Desk Technician provides technical support to staff, volunteers, and organizational leadership. This role helps ensure that the organization’s technology, systems, and digital tools operate effectively and that users receive timely assistance with technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support for computers, software, email, internet, and other organizational technology.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and software issues.
• Assist staff and volunteers with setting up and using technology and virtual meeting platforms.
• Help manage user accounts, passwords, access, and basic system permissions.
• Support the setup and maintenance of organizational devices and technology.
• Assist with technology for virtual meetings, programs, events, and presentations.
• Maintain organized records of technical issues, equipment, and technology-related information.
• Help promote cybersecurity, data protection, and responsible use of organizational technology.
• Escalate complex technical issues when additional support is needed.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling organizational information.
• Perform additional technology-related duties and special assignments as directed by the President/Executive Director.
