Job Summary:
The Finance Associate plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by ensuring that all internal and external financial processes are accurate, compliant, and timely. This position supports the finance team in managing financial strategies, ensuring positive financial health, and overseeing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll help transform financial accounting data into meaningful insights that guide more intelligent decision-making and support our mission of empowering small businesses and community-focused organizations through transparent financial analysis and management. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging financial professional to gain real-world experience in financial analysis, ratio analysis, reporting, cash flow management, and client collaboration while developing both technical and analytical skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
What you will do:
- Gathering data from accounting reports for analysis and reporting
- Balance Sheet
- Income Statement
- Statement of Cash Flows
- Create and calculate financial reports via Excel and Word
- Dashboards
- Ratio Analysis
- KPIs
- SWOT Analysis, Porter’s Five Forces, PESTLE Analysis, and SMART Goals
- Investment analysis
- Corporate finance analysis
- Charts, graphs, etc.
- Strategize with a team to determine what the best metrics are for our clients
- Report financial findings with the team and client
- Communicate and finalize all financial analyses with the team
- Gather and create a risk management plan for a client’s business
Qualifications:
- You are currently completed an Undergraduate program or is a recent graduate
- Bachelor’s or master’s in finance or accounting and/or related field/equivalent experience
- Any certifications in accounting or finance
- Worked with a nonprofit or community project before, preferred
- No experience required, but all are encouraged to apply!
