🚛 Dock Assistant – Aurora ReStore Volunteer

📋 Position Overview

As a Dock Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes donors and helps process incoming donations. This role is essential to keeping the ReStore running smoothly and ensuring donated items are ready for resale to support Habitat’s mission. We have a need in our Aurora ReStore.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors dropping off items
• Unload donations safely and efficiently
• Sort, clean, and prepare items for pricing and display
• Communicate with ReStore staff about donation quality and needs
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and shoppers
• Additional duties as assigned

🧠 Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background check
• Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, moving items)
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor
• Interest in retail, sustainability, or community service
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
