Position Overview
The Marketing & Communications Manager will lead and oversee TATT’s social media and communications strategy, ensuring all content is timely, engaging, and culturally relevant. This role is ideal for a creative, strategic communicator passionate about amplifying African voices, strengthening community connections, and enhancing TATT’s visibility across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement TATT’s marketing and communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Attend Weekly Social Media and Communications Committee meetings.
- Collaborate with program leads to promote events, workshops, and fundraising initiatives such as the Ubuntu Fundraising Gala.
- Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all communications.
- Monitor engagement metrics, analyze performance, and recommend improvements.
- Support media outreach and cultivate relationships with press, influencers, and community partners.
- Provide communications guidance to TATT leadership, regional directors, and committees as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of marketing, branding, and communications strategies.
- Experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to balance creativity with strategy, tailoring messaging for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with the African Diaspora community and cultural contexts strongly preferred.
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
