Food Rescuer - Long Branch to Asbury Park, Monmouth County, NJ

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.

The volunteer role would involve:

• Picking up meals from our donor cafeteria in Long Branch, and
• Delivering these meals to our non-profit community partner in Asbury Park.

This volunteering opportunity is on Tuesday and Friday afternoons starting at 1:30pm. The task will take approximately 90 minutes including travel time between donor and recipient. We require volunteers to drive their own car. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule. Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations. Please note this task cannot be pushed to later in the afternoon because the donor kitchen shuts by mid afternoon.
