Organization Overview
Spectrum Counseling & Mental Wellness is a nonprofit psychotherapy clinic dedicated to providing accessible, affirming mental health services to the Portland community, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and people with disabilities.
Role Description
We are seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to provide financial oversight and support to our Board of Directors. This role focuses on review and governance, rather than day-to-day bookkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Attend quarterly Board Meetings and special meetings
- Assist the board in understanding financial health and risks
- Review monthly financial reports
- Support financial transparency and basic controls
- Assist in organizing and running fundraising events
Requirements
- Background or comfort with finance, accounting, or budgeting
- Reliability and discretion
- Interest in nonprofit governance
