Ssamba Foundation welcomes volunteers and professionals who want to contribute their skills, experience, time and ideas to community development in Uganda.

Volunteers can support practical initiatives in education, agriculture, STEM and technology, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, health, water and sanitation, and sustainable community development.

A key opportunity is the Kyampisi Agri-Tech Legacy Hub, a developing community learning and innovation centre where volunteers can work alongside local teams, educators, young people and community members. The Hub brings together practical agriculture, sustainable farming, technology, STEM learning and enterprise development.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Professional mentoring and skills transfer
• Entrepreneurship and small-business skills
• STEM, coding, technology and digital skills
• Communications, media and digital storytelling
• Technology, coding, digital skills and innovation
• Project development, monitoring and evaluation
• Research, documentation and community learning
• Education and activities for children and young people
• Practical support for community and education programs
• Supporting the development of the Hub's demonstration stations
• Agricultural demonstrations, horticulture and sustainable farming
• Supporting children and young people through educational and STEM activities
• Hands-on construction and building works - assisting with construction, renovation, painting, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical works and general site improvement
• Fundraising and resource mobilization - helping identify donors, sponsors, grants, crowd funding opportunities and in-kind support for community projects
• Partnership development - connecting Ssamba Foundation with schools, universities, companies, NGOs, foundations and professional networks
• Site development and landscaping - gardens, pathways, fencing, nursery areas and outdoor learning spaces

We particularly welcome teachers, agricultural professionals, engineers, technology specialists, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, skilled tradespeople and other professionals who can share practical knowledge and work respectfully with local communities.
