Through transportation assistance, housing support, workforce development, food access, youth programming, family reunification services, and reentry support, we work to create pathways to long-term independence and community reintegration.

As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a dedicated professional to help design and develop a new survivor-focused program supporting individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

    Position Overview

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking Program Development Specialist to help build a comprehensive program framework focused on survivor safety, stabilization, advocacy, referrals, and long-term support services.

This individual will play a key role in helping shape the organization's future response to survivors of violence, exploitation, and trafficking while ensuring services are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and aligned with industry best practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify community partners, shelters, advocacy organizations, and referral resources.
    • Help create intake processes, eligibility guidelines, and participant workflows.
    • Assist in developing safety planning and survivor support frameworks.
    • Research grant opportunities and funding sources related to victim services.
    • Develop training materials, resource guides, and operational recommendations.
    • Participate in planning meetings and strategic discussions.
    • Assist with program launch planning and long-term sustainability efforts.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, victim services, social work, advocacy, behavioral health, crisis intervention, or related fields.
    • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and survivor-centered service delivery.
    • Strong research, writing, program development, and organizational skills.
    • Experience in nonprofit, government, social services, or community-based programming preferred.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
    • Passion for helping vulnerable populations and building meaningful community programs.

    Growth Opportunity

This volunteer role is designed as a leadership development opportunity with the intention of transitioning into a paid position following September 2026, subject to organizational growth, program implementation, funding availability, and performance.

In addition to future employment opportunities, eligible team members may be considered for annual performance-based bonuses and leadership advancement opportunities as the program expands.

    What You'll Gain

    • Opportunity to build a new program from the ground up.
    • Direct involvement in creating services that support survivors and families.
    • Experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, grant research, and community partnerships.
    • Professional references and career development opportunities.
    • Potential pathway to future employment with LoopRoots Foundation.

    Commitment

    • 20–25 hours per week.
