Community Breakfast Meal Prep

Prepare meals alongside the head chef to feed those experiencing homelessness.

Why: Currently, 1 in 5 Angelinos are food insecure. This equates to roughly 1 million Los Angeles County residents who do not know where their next meal will come from. Help serve meals to hungry individuals.

Who: ServeLA provides meals, recovery, and holistic support to the unseen among us in the city. Community meals occur Monday through Friday with breakfast from 10-11 am and dinner from 5-6 pm.

What to Expect: Serve alongside the head chef at various times of the day to help prepare meals for our community.

• What's Required:Closed-toed shoes, clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, and an attitude ready to have fun!
• Volunteer Agreement - Serve LA requires volunteers to sign a digitial volunteer agreement prior to starting. Please be sure to fill this out, you will recieve it from the Opportunity Coordinator in your confirmation email.
• Please contact the opportunity coordinator if you are completing community service hours:
  • School Hours: This partner accept volunteers completing school community service hours.
  • Court-Ordered Hours: Please contact the opportunity coordinator to undergo the pre-approval process. Court-ordered volunteers must be pre-approved to volunteer.
  • Other: Please contact the opportunity coordinator to confirm hours can be counted.
  • Any hours that are not scheduled will not be counted. Any court-ordered hours that are not pre-approved, will not be counted.
