Woke Chicago | Remote/Hybrid (Chicago Preferred)

Woke Chicago is seeking a thoughtful, organized Volunteer Program Lead / Community Impact Volunteer to help support and grow our volunteer ecosystem as we expand community programming across Chicago.

Woke Chicago is a trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness nonprofit serving youth and communities through emotional wellness, movement, and healing-centered programming.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys:

Volunteer Focus Areas

This volunteer will help support:

• volunteer intake and communication
• onboarding and orientation coordination
• volunteer placement and follow-up
• organizing volunteer tracking systems
• helping new volunteers feel welcomed and connected
• supporting community engagement efforts
• assisting with volunteer appreciation and retention
• helping prepare for events and community gatherings

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• volunteer coordination experience
• nonprofit or community organizing experience

• Notion or Google Workspace familiarity
