Purrfect Pals is seeking a skilled data entry professional to assist with the large influx of paperwork processing that comes with Kitten Season from March to November.
The ideal candidate will have basic computer experience, attention to detail, and a passion to care for and clarify medical paperwork for the various litters of kittens and their mothers that we receive a large influx of from Spring to Fall.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Volunteer Kitten Season Assistant include:
- Analyzing, manually entering, and scanning in completed medical paperwork and records for kitten litters ranging from 3-10 patient (cat) packets per litter.
- Medical paperwork focus:
- Scanning and uploading Litter Release Forms
- Entering, scanning, and uploading:
- Intake Exams
- DVM Exams
- Medical Updates, (Medications, VT Exams, etc)
- Vaccination Sheets
- Analyzation of fine details pertaining to medication doses and their appropriate dates with included VA, LVT, and DVM notes (SOAP format)
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Basic computer skills with a focus on document assessment and data entry in a web-browser based database.
- Ability to scan, label, and upload the required documents to each kitten/mother cat’s database profile.
- Ability to consistently communicate and ask clarifying questions to the Administrative Assistant and Clinic staff.
- Experience with the medical care of cats and kittens in a plus!
Work Environment
This is a part-time position with 3-5 hours per week on Wednesdays or Fridays at the Purrfect Pals cat shelter in Arlington, WA.
This is an unpaid volunteer position.
