Join Tragic to Magic at the 2026 La Jolla Art & Wine Festival and help rescued dogs from Mexico meet thousands of potential adopters.
Volunteers help with setup and breakdown, walking and comforting dogs, keeping water bowls filled, cleaning enclosures, sharing each dog’s personality with festival visitors, and helping our adoption area remain safe and welcoming.
The festival is Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026. Our volunteer window is 8:30 AM–6:30 PM each day, and you are welcome to help for a full day or whatever portion fits your schedule. Public festival hours are 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Location: Girard Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037. The exact booth location will be shared closer to the event.
No professional animal-care experience is required—just reliability, comfort around dogs, and a willingness to follow the onsite team’s handling instructions. Teens, groups, and volunteers age 55+ are welcome.
