Special Olympics Maryland Kayaking Championships

Special Olympics Maryland is hosting our annual Kayaking Championships at the beautiful Hodson Boathouse at Washington College in Chestertown, MD and we would love for you to join us! 🌊

Whether you're already a fan of kayaking or just curious about what a day of competition looks like, we'd love to welcome you to this gorgeous waterfront location for an unforgettable day supporting our athletes. It's also a great chance to get in some service hours before the school year starts, or to turn it into a fun day trip to a lovely Eastern Shore town (Chestertown is about 45 minutes from the Bay Bridge, or 1.5 hours from Baltimore).

We'd be especially grateful for volunteers who can join us for the afternoon shift to help with end-of-day breakdown. Think of it as your chance to be part of the after-party crew, packing up buoys, flags, and lanes as the sun starts to set on a great day of competition. It's a fun, hands-on way to help us close things out and celebrate a job well done! 🎉

Hodson Boathouse at Washington College, Chestertown, MD

Shifts are available for full day, half-day, and end of day slots. We'll provide snacks, lunch, and water throughout the event, plus a volunteer t-shirt to keep!
