Volunteer Opportunity: Taste of RLC

Help us serve up a delicious event while fighting food waste!

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit that rescues surplus food and gets it to people who need it. Taste of RLC is our chance to celebrate that work, and we need volunteers to make it happen.

When: October 9th, 2:00-6:00 PM

Where: Midtown loft terrace, 267 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016

Time commitment: Up to 4 hours, including setup and cleanup

What You'll Do

Sample Handout Volunteers

• Greet guests and offer food samples with a friendly smile
• Keep sample trays stocked and the serving area tidy

Stand Setup Volunteers

• Set up tables, signage, and food stands before guests arrive
• Help vendors and partners get organized at their stations
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup at the end of the event

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, upbeat people who enjoy talking with the public
• Comfort standing for extended periods; setup volunteers should be able to lift and carry light equipment
• Reliability and a willingness to follow food safety guidelines (we'll walk you through them)
• No experience needed, just enthusiasm for our mission
