In this volunteer role, you will provide critical administrative assistance for a Vounteer organization focused on providing emergency services for our community. RBVFC offers several benefits, including collegiate level classes/credit, tax credits, property tax incentives, reitrement benefits, access to discounts and many more!
In this role, you will support our first responders by providing key administrative support in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to finance, infrastructure, purchasing, logistics and fundraising. Our administrative vounteers are the backbone of our team, and ensure that our first responders can do their job effectively. This role does NOT require members to respond to emergency calls.
Member requirements:
- 16 years old at time of application.
- Able to commit at least 8 hours a month to meetings, fundraisers, administrative tasks and event coordination.
- Submission to a FBI background check and fingerprinting.
- Ability to obtain CPR certification within 90 days (training will be provided by RBVFC free to you.)
Benefits:
- Free college level classes through the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, including Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Inspector, etc. These classes can be transferred for college credits to participating state and local colleges.
