It is the 2nd Purple Porch Project event that is coming up this fall for Ruth's House of Hope in Faribault, MN. We have a few upcoming volunteer opportunities coming up and I need to start recruiting help. I have these events noted in this email along with the Sign Up Genius that is the piece people need to use to volunteer with. We have several events that are opportunities to get involved and volunteer.
Volunteer Opportunities Overview**
We need volunteers for several upcoming fall events to raise awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and support our cause. Please check the sign-up link, consider bringing a friend, or send us contact info for anyone interested in helping! You are welcome to contact Michele the Office & Volunteer Administrator for help with questions or sign-ups. Thank you all.
- Key Volunteer Roles:**
- Raffle Ticket Sales:**
- Sell tickets for our custom-built Playhouse ($10/ticket, $100/book of 10; cash or check only).
Shifts are available for short hours on select Saturdays & one parade on a Sunday leading up to the drawing on **Purple Thursday, October 22, 2026**
Defeat of Jesse James Day Parade:** 9/13/26
- Walk alongside our float/Playhouse. We are looking for 20 volunteers to join! This is on a Sunday.
Dundas Oktoberfest:** 9/19/26
- Help set up, sell raffle tickets, and tear down (**11:30 AM – 7:30 PM**; split into 3 time slots).
*Faribault Fall Festival:** possibly 10/03/26
- Help sell raffle tickets and engage with the community (check sign-up link for specific time slots).
