    Position: Grant Proposal & Program Documentation Intern

    Location: Remote, with potential opportunities for in-person engagement in Liberia

    Time Commitment: Flexible schedule | 3-month internship

    Position Overview

    YesLiberia is seeking a compelling writer and communicator for the Grant Proposal & Program Documentation Intern position. This role centers on crafting proposal materials, bridging communication between international teams, and documenting field impact. The intern will work closely with local program staff in Liberia to gather stories and outcomes, translating them into grant proposals and reporting deliverables.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Proposal & Narrative Writing: Draft core components of grant proposals, including Letters of Inquiry (LOIs), program narratives, project budgets, logic models, project goals, and work plans.
    2. Liberia Program Coordination: Liaise directly with field teams in Monrovia and local leaders from diverse organizations and institutions to collect accurate program data, beneficiary metrics, program updates, and project documentation required for applications.
    3. Post-Award Grant Reporting: Compile program outcomes, collect operational data, and draft narrative sections for mid-year and final grant reporting deadlines.
    4. Grant Toolkit Content Creation: Create reusable content assets for the Grant Writing Team, including narrative templates, LOI frameworks, project concept briefs, and boilerplate organizational statements.
    5. Gap Analysis & Needs Assessment: Review incoming funding requirements to identify gaps in program documentation, proactively following up with field staff to secure needed context or data.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and narrative editing skills.
    • Ability to translate project data into clear, persuasive narratives.
    • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Interest in international development, communications, or public policy.
    • Previous grant writing or technical writing experience is a plus, but not required.
