Girls' LEAP is a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls and young people to value and champion their own safety and well-being. Through empowerment self-defense, leadership development, mentoring, and advocacy programs, we equip youth with the skills to navigate challenges, set boundaries, and become leaders in their communities.
Each year, Girls' LEAP serves hundreds of youth across Greater Boston, helping them build confidence, resilience, and self-advocacy skills. Our vision is a world where all young people have the tools and support they need to thrive.
Board Opportunity
Girls' LEAP is seeking passionate, mission-driven individuals to join our Board of Directors as we enter an exciting period of growth. We recently celebrated the success of our inaugural Women's Leadership Brunch and are implementing a strategic plan to expand our impact and strengthen organizational sustainability.
We are particularly interested in individuals who can help us grow our network, increase fundraising capacity, and elevate awareness of our mission throughout Greater Boston.

- Community and Civic Leadership
Board Member Responsibilities
- Attend monthly board meetings (currently virtual/hybrid)
- Serve on at least one committee
- Make a personally meaningful annual financial contribution
- Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts
- Introduce Girls' LEAP to potential donors, sponsors, and partners
- Advocate for Girls' LEAP within your professional and personal networks
- Support strategic planning and organizational growth

- Are willing to actively support fundraising efforts

Previous board experience is welcome but not required.
