Immediate Help Wanted: Foster Care Providers for Pets In Need

Ahimsa House needs your help more than ever to continue meeting the current demand for our services. Take in the pets of domestic violence survivors until they get "back on their feet" in a safe, non-abusive environment.There are no out-of-pocket costs to providing foster care. We provide food, transportation, and veterinary care. We need foster homes for dogs, cats, and lots of other species! ANY amount of time you can contribute makes a huge difference. Temporary fosters also allow us to get pets out of expensive boarding facilities as quickly as possible until a more cost-effective option can be secured.

Want to foster, but think you spend too much time away each day? Let’s talk! We are happy to explore covering the cost of daycare or a dogwalker for your foster pet, as these services are less expensive than paying for full-time boarding.

You may be asked to give a few days or weeks of your time ... to the pet who benefits, it means a lifetime.
