Role Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the organization by managing volunteer and staff onboarding, ensuring compliance, and helping build a structured, professional team environment. This role is responsible for overseeing recruitment processes, coordinating background checks, and maintaining organized personnel records.
Primary Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Assist with posting and managing open volunteer and intern positions
• Review applications and support the selection process
• Coordinate onboarding for new team members
• Ensure all required onboarding documents are completed
Compliance & Documentation
• Oversee background check processes for all volunteers and staff
• Ensure all personnel files are complete, organized, and up to date
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures
• Track completion of onboarding, training, and required forms.
Team Support & Coordination
• Serve as a point of contact for volunteer and staff-related questions
• Support scheduling of orientations and trainings
• Assist leadership in maintaining clear communication with team members
• Help ensure a positive and professional team environment
Systems & Process Development
• Help develop and improve onboarding systems and workflows
• Maintain organized digital records (Google Drive, forms, etc.)
• Support implementation of HR policies and procedures
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all team members meet background check requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information
• Support adherence to youth safety and organizational policies
Required Qualifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage documentation
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in human resources, administration, or operations
• Experience with onboarding or team coordination
• Familiarity with background check processes or compliance
