Hospice In-Person Volunteer: Patient Companionship *Billerica Area*

N PERSON VOLUNTEERING *BILLERICA AREA* [LIFE CARE CENTER OF MERRIMACK VALLEY]

In person volunteering means a volunteer is assigned to a patient(s) and a building(s). They will be assigned a day of the week/time, or a window of time, per patient(s)/buildings(s).

Volunteers will provide companionship for patient(s). This will include talking, reflecting on memories/patient interests, reading, looking at magazines, playing music, playing appropriate games, sitting peacefully at bedside. You can take the patient to activities and sit with the/help them engage!
