Volunteer Onboarding & Recruitment Coordinator

About the Role: We are looking for a warm, organized, and proactive individual to join our Recruitment and Onboarding team. Your job is simple but critical — every new volunteer who joins our platform feels welcomed, oriented, and connected to their role within 24 hours of arriving.

What you will do:

• Send a personal welcome message to every new staff member within 24 hours of joining
• Conduct a brief onboarding conversation within 72 hours of their arrival
• Walk new members through their role, task cards, and first assignment within their first week
• Post a brief weekly activity note confirming onboarding actions taken
• Support the recruitment pipeline by reviewing incoming applications and flagging strong candidates

Who you are:

• Warm, people centered, and genuinely excited about welcoming others
• Organized and reliable — you follow through without being reminded
• Comfortable working independently in a virtual asynchronous environment
• Background in HR, volunteer management, customer service, or community outreach a plus
• U.S. based preferred

This role is a pro bono volunteer position. No financial compensation is offered.
