Community Outreach & Follow-Up Volunteer for 1MC Dallas

We're looking for a driven, organized volunteer to lead our ecosystem outreach initiative. This role is perfect for someone who loves making connections, doesn't get discouraged easily, and wants to make a real impact on Dallas's small business community.

What You'll Do

• Research local small business support organizations, City of Dallas programs, nonprofit partners, and entrepreneurial ecosystem resources
• Send a prepared outreach email on behalf of 1MC Dallas to each identified organization
• Follow up persistently (5-7 times) with contacts who don't respond
• Track outreach in a simple spreadsheet (template provided)
• Report back with responses, partnership interest, and any leads worth escalating

What We're Looking For

• Someone comfortable sending professional emails and following up without feeling awkward about it
• Basic research skills — knowing how to find the right contact person at an organization
• Organized enough to track who's been contacted and when
• A genuine interest in entrepreneurship, small business, or community development is a big plus
• No prior experience required — just persistence and a good attitude

Time Commitment Approximately 3–5 hours per week, flexible schedule, fully remote. This is a great opportunity for a retiree or a professional looking to give back.
