Mt. Tabor Park Volunteer Event

Looking for a reason to get outside on a beautiful fall morning? Give back to a favorite Portland park, work alongside others, and enjoy a complimentary lunch!

The Nature Conservancy, Portland Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Mt. Tabor Park invite you to a volunteer event at Mt. Tabor Park, a 176-acre park providing habitat for songbirds, birds of prey, coyotes, and other plants and animals.

Volunteers will assist with habitat improvement tasks including weeding and mulching. After the work, you are invited to stick around for a celebration with a complimentary lunch and festivities.

Please note:

All participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult (an exception for older teens may be possible by request). There is poison oak on site, and you may encounter yellow jackets or other stinging insects. We recommend you wear long-sleeve shirts and pants as protection. There are bathrooms near the picnic area and at the summit, but they may not be close to the section of the park you are working in. Bring a reusable water bottle.
