Position Overview
Community Coordinators are the heart of The Nascent Foundation. You'll support Cell formation, member onboarding, and community health. This role is perfect for natural connectors who love bringing people together and fostering authentic community.
Responsibilities
- Welcome new members and conduct onboarding orientations
- Match members to appropriate Cells based on needs, time zones, and languages
- Support Cell facilitators with resources and guidance
- Monitor Cell health and intervene when Cells are struggling
- Facilitate conflict resolution when requested by Cell members
- Gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities
- Build relationships across the global member community
- Document community patterns and share insights with team
Time Commitment
10-15 hours per week (flexible schedule, some evening/weekend availability needed for global time zones)
Qualifications
- Lived experience with mental health challenges (required)
- Previous experience in community organizing, facilitation, or peer support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Cultural competency and commitment to equity
- Comfortable with technology (Zoom, Slack, spreadsheets)
- Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental
- Able to hold boundaries while being supportive
- Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus
