The TEP Center is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to serve as docents and help bring the powerful history of New Orleans school desegregation to life for visitors from around the world.
Docents play a vital role in advancing the mission of the Leona Tate Foundation for Change by welcoming guests, guiding tours, and facilitating meaningful conversations about the experiences of Leona Tate, Gail Etienne, and Tessie Prevost. This is an opportunity to engage directly with students, educators, and community members while contributing to an important, place-based learning environment rooted in civil rights history.
