Attendance at Haven Hospice orientation.
Complete required Alzheimer's disease training and yearly trainings.
Descripción
Position Summary: To provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their caregivers facing life threatening illnesses and death.
- Provides respite care by staying with the patient up to 2 hours while caregiver runs errands.
- Provide companionship to patient when caregiver is home, not home or in a facility.
- Maintains strict patient/caregiver confidentiality.
- Welcome to volunteer in the Palatka Care Center, facilities, or in the home.
- Volunteers must have their own transportation if they are visiting patients in the home.
- Must be reliable.
