    SelfSoulLiberate is a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving health equity and reducing stigma surrounding mental health in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to provide educational resources, develop sustainable wellness frameworks, and make care more accessible.

    Role Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and committed individual to join our Board of Directors as the NP Board Treasurer on a volunteer basis. This remote role is ideal for experienced financial professionals passionate about leveraging their expertise for social good. As the NP Board Treasurer, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial health and integrity of our organization, ensuring sound financial stewardship, transparency, and compliance. Your leadership will directly empower our ability to manage resources effectively and maximize our impact in the communities we serve.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and monitor the organization's financial performance and fiscal health, providing strategic insights to the Board.
    • Provide strategic financial guidance to the Board of Directors and executive team, contributing to the organization's long-term sustainability and growth.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP, IRS regulations for non-profits), and internal controls.
    • Review and approve annual budgets, financial statements, and audit reports, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
    • Chair the Finance Committee (if applicable) and present clear, concise financial updates to the full Board during regular meetings.
    • Safeguard the organization's assets and ensure responsible investment practices aligned with our mission and risk tolerance.
    • Act as a signatory on organizational bank accounts and financial documents as required.
    • Actively contribute to overall board governance, strategic planning, and fundraising initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field (e.g., CPA, MBA, or significant senior financial leadership experience).
    • Demonstrated understanding of non-profit finance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to a diverse audience.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor, capable of engaging with board members and staff.
    • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail regarding financial records and processes.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
    • Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Google Workspace (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Slides).
    • Volunteers should be available to work within a U.S. time zone for effective collaboration.
