Do you have a passion for teaching adults?
You can volunteer from home as a virtual One-to-One tutor with Permian Basin Adult Literacy Center. Work with an adult who speaks English but struggles with reading and writing on developing their literacy skills.
Many of our One-to-One students struggle with dyslexia or other learning disabilities. Volunteers will complete training for the Barton Reading and Spelling System, the curriculum and teaching method which will be used for One-to-One instruction.
Please note- all volunteer instructors must be 18 or older. Volunteers will be required to fill out a volunteer application, pay a $38.00 criminal background check fee, and complete a volunteer orientation.
