Online Gallery Curator and Shop Manager (Volunteer)

The Online Gallery Curator, Installer & Shop Manager plays a key role in bringing Think Round Fine Arts’ exhibitions and artwork to a global virtual audience. This volunteer will curate digital exhibitions, manage the online gallery environment, coordinate artwork uploads, maintain the linked Shopify shop, and ensure that Think Round’s artistic mission and brand identity are reflected consistently across all online displays.

This role supports the ongoing visibility of The Paradise Project, Think Round Fine Arts exhibitions, and related merchandise, helping expand access, engagement, and impact.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Virtual Gallery Curation & Installation

1. 1. Curate digital exhibitions in Kunstmatrix based on artistic themes, TRI’s mission, and ongoing installations.
   2. Upload, organize, and properly label artwork files (paintings, portrait panels, installation images, etc.).
   3. Arrange artworks within the virtual gallery space using best practices in virtual exhibition design.
   4. Prepare and maintain exhibition descriptions, metadata, tags, and artist statements.
   5. Ensure the visual alignment of the gallery with Think Round’s Tree of Life color templates and developmental framework when applicable.
   6. Collaborate with Studio Assistant (Sarah) to ensure images are correctly photographed, sized, and formatted.

Shopify Store Management

1. 1. Upload products (originals, prints, books, merchandise) to the Think Round Shop.
   2. Maintain accurate pricing, dimensions, descriptions, and availability.
   3. Coordinate product photography, image editing, and gallery-to-shop linking.
   4. Track featured items and update highlight collections for new exhibitions.
   5. Ensure all items displayed in Kunstmatrix link correctly to Shopify for purchase.

Content Coordination & Communication

1. 1. Work closely with the Marketing Team to ensure exhibitions and shop updates are promoted through newsletters, social media, and website.
   2. Update curatorial records, exhibition notes, and item inventories.
   3. Assist in generating monthly online gallery analytics to track engagement.
   4. Maintain consistency with TRI’s mission, visual identity, and messaging:

Technical & Administrative Tasks

1. 1. Troubleshoot basic technical issues on Kunstmatrix and Shopify.
   2. Maintain organized digital file systems for artwork, product files, and descriptions.
   3. Support preparation for virtual exhibition openings or online reception events.
   4. Participate in occasional TRI online team meetings.
