Hope Haven Pet Rescue is a small, fully foster-based, volunteer-run cat rescue serving communities across Massachusetts. All animals in our care live in private foster homes, allowing us to prioritize individualized care, stability, and humane outcomes. We are committed to building sustainable rescue systems that balance compassion with responsible growth.
Position Overview
The Volunteer Intake Coordinator is a leadership-level role responsible for overseeing and coordinating intake requests, including owner surrenders, rescue partner transfers, and stray or feral cat assistance inquiries. This role helps ensure that Hope Haven uses its limited resources responsibly while remaining compassionate and compliant with Massachusetts regulations.
The Intake Coordinator works closely with the Director and leadership team, especially the Foster and Wellness Coordinators. Intake decisions are collaborative, with final authority remaining with the Director.
