Do you have a friendly, well-behaved pet that loves people? Wings Over Virginia Hospice is seeking Pet Therapy Volunteers to bring comfort, companionship, and joy to patients facing serious illness.

The presence of a gentle therapy animal can brighten a patient's day, spark cherished memories, reduce anxiety, and provide meaningful emotional support during a difficult time.

As a Pet Therapy Volunteer, You and Your Pet May:

• Visit hospice patients in homes and care facilities
• Provide comfort and companionship through animal-assisted visits
• Encourage conversation, smiles, and positive interactions
• Support patients, families, and caregivers through the healing power of a pet's presence

We're Looking For:

✓ Certified therapy dogs and handlers (or teams willing to obtain certification)

✓ Calm, friendly, and well-socialized animals

✓ Compassionate volunteers who enjoy helping others

✓ Individuals able to commit to occasional visits based on availability
