Gigantes Carriers and Leaders for Dia de los Muertos Festival

The Firehouse needs you!

We are looking for 6 super strong people and 3 super helpful people to wear Catrina and Catrin, 2 of our Gigantes (large paper mache puppets) through the Dia de Muertos Fiesta from 11am-2pm.

2 people will be carrying and 1 person will be leading for each of the time slots.

Over the years, the Procession of the Gigantes has become one of the symbols of the Longmont Dia de los Muertos Event. These characters are dearly loved by the people of Longmont, who process with the puppets year after year. The giants are escorted through Downtown enchanting children and adults alike with their dances through the streets.

You will help these giants come to life by processing with them through the festival footprint at Kimbark and 4th. The procession starts at 2pm and ends around 2:45- there is a separate signup for the procession. At 2:45 we will process to the Firehouse via 4th Avenue.

Please specify carrier or guide. THe Gigantes are created on hiking back packs are are actually very easy to carry but please keep in mind that they are around 25-30 lbs
