Be a Play Facilitator with the Akron Children's Museum!

1. Volunteers will engage with our guests and encourage them to play! Help challenge little ones to build taller towers, pretend to haggle for veggies in the famers market, and make new creations in the art studio. Even chat with grown ups for that extra touch of human interaction.
2. Will also include assisting the team in keeping the museum tidy by picking up toys, wiping high touch surfaces, and even assist with odd jobs to prep for events.

Basic volunteer qualifications involved with this assignment: Complete a background check, be welcoming, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public, and ready to play!

Who will be served by this assignment? Part of the Akron Children's Museum's mission is to be a gathering space for all and you'd be serving our community!

What specific skills will the volunteer need? Include any requirements for lifting, standing, or other physical requirements.

• Must be able to be on feet for 2 hours with some breaks - must be comfortable bending, picking items up, and getting lower to the floor to engage with kids - must be engaging with kids and or families
