Barn Sale Help 2026

Barn Sale time is coming!

Brown County Humane Society needs your help to make this event as successful as possible. This is one of the only fundraisers where you don’t have to ask a single person for money! This event raised over $60,000 for the shelter last year and takes a village to reach its potential.

Even if you cannot help for the entire day, your help is still greatly needed! Whether you can do a few hours, half days or full days, it will all be incredibly valuable. Again, this event takes people to be successful, so every volunteer creates additional funds for the animals.

There is no such thing as enough help during this event so a group or company who is looking for a group volunteering project, this would be a great opportunity!

Donation Processing

Duties: Main need is pricing donated items. If pricing isn’t your cup of tea, there is also a need for help unloading donations, cleaning items, sorting and organizing to prep for the sale.

Friday, Aug. 7th - 8am to 6pm

Saturday, Aug. 8th - 8am to 6pm

Sunday, Aug. 9th - 8am to 6pm

Monday, Aug. 10th - 8am to 6pm

Pre-Sale Prep

Duties: These two days will include setting up the sale items and getting the event area fully set up. We will need volunteers to merchandise and display donated items to appeal to the shoppers. There is also a great need for heavy lifting during these days. We will have to move and arrange larger items that have been donated.

Tuesday, Aug. 11th - 7am to 6pm - HIGH NEED

Wednesday, Aug. 12th - 7am to end (roughly 6pm) - biggest need right now is for afternoon help this day (1pm-6pm)

Sale Dates

Duties: Customer service is the number one goal these days! Simply offering a smile and helping to point shoppers in the right direction of what they are looking for. Happy customers spend more money. Other duties will be keeping designated areas cleaned and looking nice. We could also use muscles these days to move and load larger items that are purchased.

Thursday, Aug 13 – 6am to end (roughly 6pm)

Friday, Aug. 14 – 6am to end (roughly 6pm)

Saturday, Aug. 15 – 6am to end (roughly 6pm)

Cleanup

Sunday, Aug. 16 – 8am to 5p - HIGH NEED!
