    Grant Writer & Researcher (Remote)

    Who We Are

At Creshendo, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to belong, rebuild, and rise.

We co-create solutions with displaced communities—always listening, collaborating, and centering lived experiences. Fueled by integrity, empathy, and curiosity, we’re building innovative and inclusive programs that reimagine what’s possible for displaced people everywhere. If you’re excited to challenge the status quo and help transform lives, you’ll feel at home here.

    Why This Role Matters

Funding fuels impact. Without resources, even the most innovative community-led programs cannot grow.

As our Volunteer Grant Writer & Researcher, you’ll play a key role in securing the support that sustains and expands Creshendo’s work. By helping identify funders and drafting compelling proposals, you’ll directly contribute to creating opportunities for displaced communities worldwide.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and international funders.
    • Assist in drafting proposals, ensuring applications are clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned.
    • Gather data and stories to strengthen applications with statistics, reports, and impact narratives.
    • Contribute to fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Grant Director.
    • Maintain organized records of deadlines, requirements, and submission progress.

    What You Bring

    • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to turn complex information into compelling, clear narratives.
    • Interest in nonprofit development and funding strategies.
    • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit research (preferred, but not required).
    • Independence and reliability while working within a team.
    • Availability of 5–8 hours per week.

(Note: Training and mentorship will be provided—enthusiasm to learn is just as important as prior experience.)

    What You’ll Gain

    • Impact: Help secure the funding that sustains Creshendo’s programs and community impact.
    • Skill Development: Gain practical experience in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit research.
    • Mentorship: Learn directly from an experienced Grant Director with tailored guidance.
    • Networking: Connect with nonprofit professionals and funding organizations.
    • Flexibility: Work remotely, on a schedule that suits your availability.
    • Recognition: Receive a certificate of completion and a recommendation letter upon fulfilling your volunteer commitment.
