Emergency Department Volunteer

Value of volunteers is essential in our community. With the help of volunteers, we’re able to make a positive change and make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. The ED Volunteers at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields offer aid to the ED staff, patients and families by providing non-medical support such as stocking shelves, assembling patient packets, clerical tasks, and providing a caring and comforting atmosphere for patients and families.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 at the time of application.
• Pass the Health Screening.
• Able and willing to dedicate a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service in a 6 month period of time.
• Volunteer 4 hours per week.
• Pass a background check.
