At Open Arms Rural Resource Center, our mission is to promote social justice and ensure that every resident of Klamath County, Oregon, has access to the essential resources they need to thrive. We uplift underserved populations through advocacy and equitable services that empower individuals and strengthen our communities.

Rooted in community involvement, we believe that those we serve should play a vital role in shaping the programs that support them. That’s why 100% of all donations go directly back into the community—fueling local empowerment, dignity, and positive change.

Open Arms Rural Resource Center is a rural, social-justice-driven nonprofit based in Klamath County, Oregon, dedicated to advancing equity and opportunity for people who are often overlooked or underserved. The organization exists to ensure that geography, income, or social identity never determine whether someone can access the resources they need to live with dignity and hope.​

Who we are

Open Arms is a small, community-rooted nonprofit founded in 2025 by people who understand the unique barriers rural residents face, including limited services, isolation, and long-standing systemic inequities. The organization combines advocacy, direct support, and community-building to help create a more just and inclusive Klamath County.​

Whom we serve

Open Arms centers underserved rural community members, including low-income families, veterans, seniors, and others who face barriers because of distance from services, financial hardship, disability, or social marginalization. The organization prioritizes people in Klamath County who experience gaps in access to health, education, economic opportunity, and other essential supports.​

What we do

The organization connects residents with critical resources and develops programs that address rural challenges in areas such as health, education, and economic development. Its work includes building partnerships, providing community-driven services, and offering practical tools—such as “business-in-a-box” solutions—to help residents move toward greater independence and stability.​
