Energy Efficiency Experts is currently seeking a resourceful, detail-oriented individual to join our team. This position is a major contributor to the continued success of our organization. We will provide the training and Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification for you to perform Residential Energy Audits in DC-Maryland Metro area homes. Sustainability is one of the fastest-growing industries in the US and this position allows you to learn the fundamental elements of residential energy efficiency and decarbonization. We are seeking recent college graduates or folks with relevant data collection and analysis skills looking for a career in sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Initially, during the training period, you will be supporting a lead auditor by setting up equipment and collecting/inputting data into energy modeling software.
• After the training period, you will be transitioning into a lead auditor position; conducting home energy audits, creating scopes of work, and submitting the final energy models to utility companies for rebates.

The expected timeline is to transition to Lead Auditor within 3 to 6 months of employment.

Skills Required:

• An ability to pay attention to details.
• Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• Ability to use mobile devices for on-site documentation.
• English proficiency.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
• Self-motivated person, capable of both team and independent work.

Relevant Education: Bachelors in

• Environmental Science/Environmental Studies.
• Conservation.
• Sustainability.
• Or just an interest in contributing to the mitigation of climate change.
