We are seeking a motivated, curious, and client-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Client Services Lead. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands nonprofit 501(c)(3) operations, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping. They are someone who is an excellent communicator, extremely detail-oriented and organized, and is excited to share about the services that we provide with ideal clients. They enjoy meeting new people and are enthusiastic about providing a high level of service to all of our clients. 

Job Summary:

The Client Services Lead position is responsible for generating new business opportunities and moving clients through the sales pipeline. This position also ensures all new clients are properly onboarded and all operational tasks associated with new client accounts are completed. This position will support the Client Services Manager with client-facing and operational tasks associated with managing current clients and client offboarding. This is a full-time position, providing flexible working hours and an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization. This position reports directly to the Client Services Manager and occasionally works with the CEO and the Operations Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation, Management & Conversion:
  • Source new leads through networking, referrals, and outbound prospecting to continuously build the client pipeline to meet monthly and quarterly goals
  • Manage and nurture leads through emails and meetings
  • Conduct sales calls, understanding client needs to explain and position our financial services
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and events to generate new business
  • Network with nonprofit associations and community foundations to build relationships and referral partnerships
  • Prepare and send proposals to potential clients
  • Follow pricing guidelines and service tiers to determine proposal pricing 
  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager to ensure service pricing is accurate/competitive and make recommendations for changes as needed
  • Manage client, community partner, and team member referrals
  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager to continue refining and improving lead generation and sales
  • New Client Onboarding:
  • Manage new client onboarding process, both operational and client-facing through tools like LastPass, Keeper, Slack, Google Workspace
  • Ensure new client information, files, and access points are collected, documented, and shared appropriately
  • Facilitate and lead new client Kickoff Calls 
  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager to determine client/team assignments
  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager to continue refining and improving the new client onboarding process
  • Current Client Management Support: (The Client Services Manager will lead in the below areas, with the Client Services Lead supporting)
  • Manage current client agreements, such as renewals, scope of work adjustments, and projects
  • Ensure the Master Client Database is always up-to-date
  • Oversee and have a pulse on the finance team’s workload capacity
  • Update and manage client credentials through LastPass
  • Send new client gifts and manage the annual client gifting process
  • Conduct team and client check-ins through surveys, meetings, and email
  • Manage the client email inbox
  • Seek, develop, and maintain partnerships with platforms and preferred vendors
  • Client Offboarding:
  • Support the Client Services Manager with client offboarding
  • Work closely with the Client Services Manager to continue refining and improving the client offboarding process
  • Reporting:
  • Track and report confidence in lead conversion levels and potential monthly revenue
  • Support the Client Services Manager with Client Services and Client Relations monthly reporting

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Persistence, motivation, and drive to succeed
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French preferred

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in a client-facing role (e.g. customer service, sales)
  • Knowledge of nonprofit 501(c)(3) finances a plus
  • Embrace technology like Google Workspace, Dropbox, Slack, Keeper, Zoom, and Gusto

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Schedule: 

  • Remote - Full-time position at 40 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule, closely aligned with a 9am-5pm EST schedule.

Logistics:

  • Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • This is a full-time W2 employee position.
  • We offer a flexible, remote work environment.
  • You must be available to respond to client communication and take meetings during regular business hours in the US, closely aligned with a 9am-5pm EST schedule.
  • You have your own computer, mobile phone, and reliable internet access.
  • You maintain a workspace free of unnecessary distractions where client and internal calls may be taken in a professional manner.
  • You are able to be on video chat for scheduled meetings.

Salary:

  • $62,000 - $68,000 per year + Discretionary Annual Bonus
