This is a full-time position working from one of the states in which we operate, including California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, and Washington state. 


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Direct Mail Account Executive provides strategic oversight for direct marketing fundraising programs for a portfolio of several nonprofit organization clients. The Account Executive also serves as a client relationship manager and works within a team to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLIENT SERVICE:

  • Provide strategic oversight of client marketing fundraising programs
  • Oversee production management and creative process for projects
  • Prepare, finalize and present strategy documents 
  • Oversee execution of year-long direct marketing schedules
  • Manage and support copywriters to draft content
  • Work with Account Lead to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
  • Identify opportunities to expand client work/scope
  • Mentor and train team members 
  • Assist with new business proposals and presentations as requested 

ANALYTICS & BUDGETING:

  • Work with list brokers/modeling vendors to develop lists
  • Draft client annual plans with Account Lead support
  • Ensure client reporting system is accurate and up-to-date
  • Ability to interpret and present program and project results 
  • Oversee client’s annual expenses

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in one of the following areas of work: Nonprofit fundraising and/or advocacy; direct marketing, including telemarketing, online and/or grassroots organizing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Understanding of agency’s products and services
  • Ability to think critically and proactively act, following the necessary procedures to address problems

  • A starting salary range of between $71,000 - $78,100, with performance evaluations and review of salary at least annually
