Brooklyn Heights Community Services

Brooklyn Heights Art-in-the-Park is a summer program for children, ages 5-12. An adult volunteer coordinator and student assistants staff the program. Children participate in crafts, art projects, physical activity, cultural and nature based experiences.

The program primarily takes place within the village park, with excursions to other venues if possible. In previous years trips have included learning about painting and firing ceramics, our local zoo and other venues. Children also have enjoyed a safety presentation by the Fire Department and a wildlife expert. These presentations are complemented with coordinating activities.
