About This Opportunity
The Communications and Marketing Manager will develop and execute strategies to build the Garden’s visibility and brand through a variety of channels, including digital marketing, press and media relations, and on-site visual collateral. Their work will connect the public to the Garden’s many identities—that of a botanical garden, a cultural institution, an urban oasis, a leader in sustainability, a climate change mitigator, and an exciting destination for people of all ages and backgrounds in the heart of the most diverse county in the country. They will work across teams at the Garden to identify and share compelling stories to build audience and signal the Garden’s values; help drive ticket sales and create visual identity for on-site programs; and bolster the Garden’s profile through strategic partnerships. The Communications and Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Development and works closely with the Executive Director. They also provide a high level of support to the Deputy Director, Director of Programs, and Assistant Director of Visitor Services and their respective teams.

This is a full-time, exempt position with weekly on-site work, and flexibility to work remotely. Schedule is generally Monday through Friday, with some required weekends and evenings throughout the year.
Salary Range: $60,000 - 66,000
